Learning Teeline shorthand involves more than just mastering the alphabet. An essential part of becoming fluent is continuously expanding your vocabulary of outlines and word groupings. The more you have committed to memory, the faster and more efficient your note taking will become.

In addition to the Outline of the Day, we've recently added a Grouping of the Day and a Phrase of the Day to our website (and we post daily on Insta and Facebook) in an effort to help you build your Teeline vocabulary. Spending time studying and practising these additions will vastly improve your shorthand skills if you take the time.

The more shorthand outlines and groupings you know, the better your notes will be. Better notes then make transcription easier and faster. As transcription becomes quicker, your overall shorthand speed will improve in a virtuous cycle. The time invested in expanding your vocabulary pays off exponentially as your skills advance.
