There are two main aims with this 70wpm exam practice; firstly, to record proper nouns and, secondly, there are a lot of numbers here.
A 41-year-old woman is accused of stealing 40 dresses worth over £200 each during a six-month period.
I would caution people not to overlook this 70wpm passage if they are beyond this speed. There are some really good single outlines as well as word groupings, not to mention that this is a perfect time for you to do some revision work on slowing it down and working on neat handwriting. You will see that the title prompted an outline for "fresh or frozen" but in actual fact this grouping was not repeated in the passage. But we were ready in case it did! "Vegetables" came up several times, and because that word was also in the title we were ready with "vgs". The "s" is important in case "vegetable" was dictated. Always use a title to think ahead.
