Ring For The King

When preparing for a 60 wpm examination you should be able to take dictation at 70 wpm.  This allows for nerves on the day, and unexpected, perhaps even tricky outlines.

Selected tricky outlines are shown at 5:27.  You may like to look at them before attempting the dictation.

For those who are preparing for 80 wpm and above, use this dictation to revise word endings, specifically -ing, -ang-, -ong, -ung.

Keep in mind the the level of difficulty is greater than you can expect in an NCTJ examination, so it's good practice on a number of fronts.

Coming soon - we will build the first half of this passage to 140 wpm and do parts of it at 160 wpm, so learn it well in preparation for climbing that speed ladder!

If you prefer to go straight to the audio dictation, you can find it here on Soundcloud.

Additional revision help on vowel-N-G can be found in Teeline Shorthand For Beginners: Lesson 5.
